2011 was a pretty crappy year for Claire. Her boyfriend bought her an expensive dinner and then broke up with her. Her brother, best friend and housemate sympathised, then promptly moved interstate. When she ripped not one, but two holes in a brand new dress, she decided enough was enough. She packed her bags, got herself a passport, and booked a one-way ticket to London.

It sounds like the start of a chick lit book… but does real life come with a happily ever after?

  1. I hope you don’t mind all my excessive commenting and clicking around! I can’t seem to stop reading your posts even though it’s definitely past 2am over here. They’re so funny and fresh, I love it! London sounds like a place to find yourself and hopefully true love too! 🙂 When I visit London as part of my food journey, I’ll make sure to not visit during the cold-ass winter 😛

  2. Am enjoying your blog, and pleased to know there are intelligent fans of chick lit out there like yourself…working on one myself loosely based on my time as the fashion director at a plus sized retailer that shall remain nameless. Got an excerpt published in a compilation called Mosaic Cross (on Amazon)…keep your fingers crossed that I can get it finished! There are a few sections of the book in London too. Keep up the excellent, witty writing!

  3. I love this blog!!!! i just adopted myself into the WordPress family. I stumbled across your website and thought that it was to chic. I love the dry humor in it all. I have read quite a few of your posts, and they have lots of personality. Keep up the good blogging!!!!

  4. Hiya,

I’ve nominated you for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award because I think you’re fantastic!

The blog will go live on BestChickLit.com tomorrow lunchtime (under the News and Guest Blog category).

    Warmest regards,
